Platforms for Online Courses
A number of platforms offer free online courses for teachers. Click on these links for three different examples: edX, FutureLearn, and Coursera. You can search these platforms for topics that interest you. edX offers training courses for teaching specific subjects, while on FutureLearn, you can find a range of educational training courses under “How to Teach Online Courses” or “Professional Development for Teachers Courses”. Or simply enter “higher education” into a search engine. Coursera offers a wealth of content intended for students as well as professional development provision for teachers (e.g., under “Webcasts”).
